Eureka Teachers – Nominees for the ‘Teacher of the Year’ Award

As every year, the Eureka team has selected teachers worthy of representing our school in the Lithuanian “Teacher of the Year” competition.

With a team of over 100 amazing staff members, choosing nominees for the “Teacher of the Year” award is always a real challenge – truly, every Eureka teacher deserves this recognition.

For the second year in a row, the candidates are nominated by the Eureka staff themselves. We are delighted to present 8 candidates and invite you to actively support them.

Agnetė Marozaitė – Early Education Teacher
Agnetė believes that childhood should be safe, warm, and full of tenderness. When working with children, she focuses not only on academic readiness but also on helping students grow to love themselves and trust in their own abilities. She values raising brave children who learn to compete with themselves rather than with others. Every day, she strives to create an environment where students feel heard, accepted, and valued. Agnetė approaches the world with sensitivity, attention to small details, and awareness of big emotions. She believes that sensitivity is truly one of the greatest strengths. VOTE

Donata Baranskienė – English Teacher & Primary Education Coordinator
Donata believes that teaching begins not with a curriculum or plan, but with a relationship that allows students to grow, trust, and truly learn. She sees how a sense of safety impacts both children and adults. For her, creating an environment where teachers and students can be alive, curious, authentic, and free from the need to pretend to be strong is essential. Donata believes that genuine learning emerges in such a space. For her, teaching is not about fulfilling duties—it is a daily, conscious choice to take responsibility for relationships, words, and example. She chooses gentleness as a strength and boundaries as a form of respect. Donata also believes that children learn first from how they are treated, not just from what they are told. She is confident that, whether in the classroom or alongside colleagues, she is exactly where she needs to be. VOTE

Rasa Kapočienė – Early Education Teacher
Rasa guides very small, very special children every day on their path to growing up. She firmly believes that over the years, she has nurtured many future talents. Working with three- to five-year-olds, it is impossible to predict who will become a fearless Dakar racer, a famous architect, a Pulitzer Prize winner, a Golden Stage Cross nominee, a wonderful father, or a loving mother. But one thing is certain – Rasa sincerely believes in each of her students. VOTE

Agnė Stasiuvienė – Early Education Teacher
Agnė is known for her modern approach, care, empathy, and continuous desire to grow. She aims to be seen by children not only as a teacher but also as a friend—a person they can open up to, feel safe with, and be heard. She recognizes each child’s strengths, helps overcome challenges, and encourages confidence. Her educational activities emphasize creativity, exploration, songs, poems, and experiments. She nurtures children’s freedom and courage to express emotions, believing that all emotions are important. She sees the purpose of working with children as growing, improving, and creating a sincere relationship built on love and trust. VOTE

Agnė Tarbejevaitė – Psychologist
Agnė has been working in the field of psychology for 16 years. Most of her professional activity focuses on working with children, families, and educators. Working with children is dynamic, creative, and constantly evolving, requiring continual knowledge updates and the application of new methods. Agnė regularly participates in professional development to expand her skills and toolkit. She follows an individualized approach, striving to understand each child’s, family’s, or teacher’s situation so that her support is as effective as possible. She pays special attention to strengthening collaboration between parents, teachers, school administration, and children, believing that close connection is essential for successful education and emotional well-being. Dovilė Lukošiūnienė – Early Education Teacher
Working with little ones, Dovilė has learned patience, listening skills, and the ability to see the world through their eyes. Children bring her joy, make her smile, and help her grow and develop alongside them. She is proud to be part of their growth and learning journey—helping them explore, learn, develop, and experience adventures that shape their personality. For Dovilė, teaching is not just a profession but a vocation, full of meaning and daily discoveries. VOTE

Samanta Sidabraitė – Early Education Teacher
Samanta believes that a teacher can inspire a child to believe in themselves through their example. She strives to be not only a knowledge provider but also a friend and a trusted adult. She emphasizes creating a safe and supportive environment where children can learn bravely, make mistakes, and grow. The greatest reward for Samanta’s work is children’s smiles and sincere interactions. Children learn from their teacher, and she learns from them, creating a dynamic, reciprocal relationship that fosters personal growth and good learning outcomes. VOTE

Laura Gabija Sajauskaitė – Early Education Teacher
Laura works with care and love every day. She encourages children to create, explore, and learn about themselves through engaging activities. She values being present to support, encourage, and celebrate small achievements. Children’s curiosity and discoveries inspire her to grow alongside them. VOTE
