A meaningful evening with the little ones: Eureka invites to a playful journey of discovery

When you visit the newest branch of the bilingual school Eureka next Monday, you will feel like you are at an airport, about to board a plane to discover different countries around the world. An international team of teachers, together with the school’s partners, will organize educational activities for children aged 0-6. The school premises will become colorful stations that will allow little explorers to get a touch of Italy, Georgia, the USA, Spain, India, Denmark, and Japan.

“Children learn about the world around them faster when they are not just observers but also participants in educational activities. Touching, playing, doing sports, sculpting, drawing, tasting, collaborating… These are the foundations of discovery-based education, which teachers organize in classrooms every week,” says Birutė Mačiulienė, founder of Eureka, which has been operating for eight years, presenting the school’s educational philosophy.

This time, you will be able to experience discovery-based education during the Little Explorers’ Fiesta on November 24 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. You are welcome to visit the Eureka school branch, located on the second floor of the newly opened Hero business center (Lvivo g. 21, Vilnius).

From NASA astronauts to Japanese traditions

The activities of the Little Explorers’ Fiesta will be carried out by an international team of Eureka teachers and school partners and friends. Gian Luca Demarco, who provides food for children at the Eureka school in Šnipiškės, will introduce guests to the highlights of Italian cuisine during the event.

“We will discover one country through taste, another through sports, and a third through meditation or the arts. Children will see a robot dog, fold Japanese origami, and create elephants from clay. We would like to express our sincere thanks to all the teachers and friends who will enrich the children’s fiesta with their activities,” says Tamriko Kiknavelidzė, international education coordinator at Eureka School.

The event organizers would like to thank their partners and friends: “Robotics Academy”, “DokiPoki Characters” animators, “Yamaha” Music School, “Baltic Football Academy”, “Baltasis Vilkas” karate school, “Molis Marguolis” ceramics studio, “Labas, Joga” studio, “Erudito” Lyceum, “Japon Café”, face painting studio “Džiaugsmo laboratorija”, pianist Rima Guigei-Vilanova and business center “Hero”.

We would also like to express our sincere gratitude to the embassies of Sakartvelo, India, Italy, Japan, and the American Chamber of Commerce in Lithuania for their assistance in organizing this event.
